Shan is the manifestation of the cosmos’ quality at different levels and in different dimensions. It is also the fundamental nature of the great enlightened beings. Therefore, a cultivator must cultivate Shan and become assimilated to the cosmos’ quality, Zhen-Shan-Ren. The vast cosmic body was born of the cosmos’ quality, Zhen-Shan-Ren. Dafa’s public teaching has re-demonstrated the past, primordial nature of the living beings of the universe. Dafa is in perfect harmony. Taking the three characters of "Zhen-Shan-Ren" apart, each still fully contains Zhen-Shan-Ren. This is because matter is composed of microscopic matter, which, in turn, is made up of even more microscopic matter—this goes on and on until the end. Therefore, Zhen consists of Zhen-Shan-Ren, Shan consists of Zhen-Shan-Ren, and Ren also consists of Zhen-Shan-Ren. Isn’t the cultivation of Zhen by the Tao School the cultivation of Zhen-Shan-Ren? Isn’t the cultivation of Shan by the Buddha School also the cultivation of Zhen-Shan-Ren? In actuality, they only differ in their superficial forms.

In terms of Shan alone, when it manifests in human society, some everyday people who are attached to ordinary human society may raise a social question of everyday people, saying, "If everyone learns Dafa and practices Shan, what if foreign invasions against us or wars take place?" In fact, I have already said in Zhuan Falun that the development of human society is driven by the evolution of the cosmic climate. Are the wars of mankind accidental, then? A region with a lot of karma or a region where human hearts have become corrupt is bound to be unstable. If one nationality is truly virtuous, it must have little karma; there absolutely will be no wars occurring against it. This is because this is prohibited by the principle of Dafa, as the quality of the universe governs everything. One needs not worry that a virtuous nation will be invaded. The characteristic of the universe—Dafa—is present everywhere, encompassing the entire cosmic body, from the macroscopic level to the microscopic level. As to the Dafa that I am teaching today, it is taught not only to Eastern people, but also at the same time to Western people. Their good-natured people should also be saved. All nationalities that should enter the next, new historical era will obtain the Fa and improve as a whole. It is not just a matter of one nationality. Mankind’s moral standard will also return to that of original human nature.
