Cultivation Practice is Not Political

Some practitioners are discontented with society and politics; they have learned our Dafa with this strong attachment that they do not release. They even attempt to take advantage of our Dafa to get involved in politics—an act born of a filthy mentality, showing their irreverence toward Buddha and the Fa. Without giving up this mentality, they absolutely will not complete cultivation.

In my lectures I have repeatedly stressed that the form of human society—no matter what type of society or political situation—is predestined and determined by heaven. A cultivator does not need to mind the affairs of the human world, let alone get involved in political struggles. As to how society treats us, isn’t it to test a cultivator’s heart? We should not get involved in politics.

Such is our Dafa’s form of cultivation practice. We will not rely on any political powers at home or abroad. Those people of influence are not cultivators, so they certainly cannot hold any positions with responsibilities in our Dafa—either in name or in actuality.

My disciples, you must remember that we are practicing genuine cultivation! We should let go of the fame, profits, and sentimentality of everyday people. Do the conditions of a social system have anything to do with your cultivation practice? Only after you have abandoned all of your attachments and none remain can you complete cultivation. Other than doing a good job with his work, a cultivator will not be interested in politics or any political power; otherwise, he is absolutely not my disciple.

We are able to have cultivators obtain the Fa and achieve the Righteous Fruit, just as we are able to teach people’s hearts to be good in society—this is good for the stability of human society. Dafa is not, however, taught for the sake of human society, but for you to complete cultivation practice.
