There is a huge lack of secular evidence outside of the Bible that Jesus Christ actually
lived when and where the Bible said he did. If Jesus actually existed and did all the
very unusual and controversial things he is said to have done then surely many people
would have written about it during and immediately following Jesus' life. And yet an
extensive search by many scholars over hundreds of years has turned up nothing. The very
few references to Jesus that allegedly date back to his lifetime have all been shown to
be in all likelihood forgeries, made no doubt by people who realized this embarrassing
lack of evidence needed to be rectified
(see the article Catholic Forgeries [Under Construction, instead see

Forgery in Christianity]).
Even if we ignore the evidence that they are forgeries, the
very small number of these questionably authentic writings that allegedly date back to
his alleged lifetime are still far too few. There should be a huge wealth of writing
about this person that was written during his lifetime.
Even the earliest full account of Jesus in the Bible, the Gospel of Mark, dates to at
least 70 CE, a full 40 years after Jesus' alleged death and resurrection.
To think that no one bothered to write down all that was known about the most important
person in the whole of human history itself for a full 40 years is absurd. Writing
was common back then. The Romans kept legal documents, people wrote letters, historians
wrote commentaries on current events. Are we to believe the life of Jesus and all that
he allegedly did didn't impress anyone for a full 40 years?
Jesus allegedly had crowds of thousands follow him around. Once he allegedly fed 5000 people
with only a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish
(Mark 6:39-44).
Later he allegedly repeated the miracle again feeding a crowd of 4000 people
(Mark 8:1-9).
Jesus miraculously cured sick people and raised people from the dead. He changed
water into wine. He exorcised demons. He commanded 2000 pigs to rush into a lake and drown
themselves (probably ruining what was a person's livelihood, see
Mark 5:1-20).
Wherever he went a crowd gathered and wondered in amazement who this
person was. He was a very controversial person. Finally he got himself into so much
trouble that huge crowds of Jews demanded his execution. There was a controversial trial
followed by his public execution. Three days later he is seen walking around alive again.
And no one wrote any of this down when it allegedly happened?
How are we to account for the non-existence of any records dating back to this period
of time about this person? How are we to explain why the earliest Gospel giving a full
account of Jesus' life was written a full 40 years after his death? (Modern scholars now
date the Gospels as being written a full 140 years after the alleged event.)
Bidstrup formalizes this argument using the Negative Evidence Principle
in his essay
The Origin of the Bible [offsite].
In defense of a historical Jesus we have the feeble sentence,
"Jesus made a very small splash while he was alive and there was no reason for Roman
historians to notice him."
Extensive evidence that most of the Jesus stories existed well before the time of Jesus.

actually lived in the flesh in the first century A.D., and if
he had been able to read the documents of old Egypt, he would
have been amazed to find his own biography already substantially
written some four or five thousand years previously."

The Allegory Exposed
I will endeavor to go the final step, that of exposing how the story of Jesus as found
in the Bible is simply an allegory for the Sun passing through the Zodiac each year. Hence
we are left with:
Extensive evidence that Jesus never existed.
Extensive evidence that the Jesus story can be found in previous religions.
An explanation of how the Jesus story originated by observing the stars.
In construction of the final step, that of exposing the allegory, it shall be necessary
to go through the Gospels and perform a literal translation from the original Greek
by identifying the Strong's numbers. Fortunately the original Greek with Strong numbers
is readily available from numerous sources, including either of the two web sites:
It is my contention that a literal word for word translation of the Bible exposes the
allegory. Especially a literal translation of places, which in all of our English
Bible translations I have ever seen remain untranslated. For example, Bethlehem is
literally "House of Bread." Without knowing this one may be tempted to take out a map and
search for a town called Bethlehem. However, one should actually be looking for a place
known as the "House of Bread." This may seem trivial at first, but it actually is a great
first step towards exposing the allegory, for you see, there has always been a place
known as the "House of Bread," except it's not a place on Earth, it's a time of the year!

By far the best book I've ever read on the non-existence of Jesus.
It combines together the research
of everyone else. Highly recommended. However it does not explain the Jesus story as
an allegory of the Sun passing through the Zodiac during the year and the passage of
the seasons of the year. I have not found any book describing this. So it looks like
I'm going to have to explain it to everyone here myself.
