853.
Verses 2, 3. And I heard a voice out of heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: and they sang as it were a
new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders: and no man could learn the song save the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
"And
I heard a voice out of heaven, as the voice of many waters," signifies, the glorification of the Lord from the Divine truths, which are from Himself: "and as the voice of a great thunder," signifies,
the glorification of the Lord from His celestial kingdom. "And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps," signifies, the glorification of the Lord from His spiritual kingdom.
"And
they sang as it were a new song," signifies, concerning the acknowledgment and confession of the Lord: "before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders," signifies, with all
in the whole heaven: "and no man could learn the song save the hundred and forty and four thousand," signifies, that the acknowledgment and confession of the Lord can have place with those only who are
in faith from charity, or in truths from good: "which were redeemed from the earth," signifies, who, being instructed, received [that instruction] in the world.
