Agni Yoga (1929) - 15: 15. Imperil, which
attracts danger, is the poison resulting from irritability. This poison, a
quite substantial one, is deposited against the walls of the nerve
channels and then spreads through the entire organism.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 15: If modern science would try to
examine objectively the nerve channels, giving heed to the astral
currents, it would encounter a strange decomposition of the astral
substance during the passage of that substance through the nerve channels
- this is a reaction to imperil. Only rest can help the
nervous system to overcome the dangerous enemy that can call forth the
most diverse irritations and painful contractions of the organism.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 15: He who is afflicted with
imperil must repeat, "How beautiful everything is!" And
he will be right; because the flow of evolution follows immutable law, it
is beautiful. The more refined the nervous system, the more painful is the
deposit of imperil. This same poison, by the addition of
one ingredient, may contribute to the decomposition of matter.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 23: 23. What has forced the poisons
toward the earthly spheres? The disturbances of the elements give rise to
a powerful poisonous gas. Usually this gas is easily assimilated in space,
but the rays of the sun are driving the gaseous waves into the layers
closest to the planet. Although a dangerous reaction results, those
forewarned can overcome the poison. Irritation and its offspring,
imperil, combine easily with the poison of space, which
is called aeroperil. The laws are alike in all things.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 220: One can imagine what confusion
would be caused by these inexplicable movements of the centers if we did
not think of them in terms of psychic energy. Strange as it may seem, a
study of the physical traces of imperil can lead to an
understanding of the accumulations of psychic energy. One can observe the
traces of imperil in any nerve channel. But it also can
be noticed that, around the granulations of this poisonous viper, is
gathered another substance that absorbs it - accumulations of psychic
energy are found there too, because each energy has its physical crystal.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 221: 221. The accumulation of
imperil has been shown to you. It is precisely that
poison which causes much trouble to people. Do not forget that meeting
with even the grossest ignorance is not worth provoking one drop of
imperil. Indeed, imperil does not remain
only within; it evaporates and permeates space, for the purity of which we
are all responsible.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 229: 229. By making use of the magnetism
of the heights and the opened centers of Sister Urusvati, We were able to
study in her the crystals of Fohat and Materia Lucida, the accumulations
of imperil, and the emanations of psychic energy.
Consider that if the emanations of psychic energy are visible to her naked
eye, then they have real substance. And whatever is tangible can be
concentrated to make possible the collecting of a new vital force. Thus it
is precisely through the experimental methods of the laboratory that the
mastery of new energies will be approached.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 329: 329. The illness called neuritis
has a certain relation to fire. Much that is attributed to rheumatism or
nervous disturbances should also be attributed to fire. These pains can
easily be eliminated by locating the material crystals of psychic energy.
When these deposits obstruct the nerve channels many painful developments
can be expected. Like stones in the inner organs, the crystals of psychic
energy can be injurious if the energy is not utilized. Especially
dangerous is the conflict of the crystals of psychic energy with the
deposits of imperil. Often, organisms with highly
developed nervous systems are sickly. Experimental research into psychic
energy is urgently needed. Whatever can be measured physically will be
more easily accepted.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 342: 342. In analyzing matter, many
elements have been identified, but there are two that are not yet
discovered or named. The first is the deposit of psychic energy, and the
second, the substance of Fire. As long as the crystal of psychic energy is
not found, the substance of Fire will not be identified. Just as the
deposits of psychic energy can be found through imperil,
the substance of Fire will be found through observing the tension of
psychic energy.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 342: On ancient images one can see
tongues of flame encircling the auras. But now this physical phenomenon
has been forgotten. You know the full reality of what is being said. But
let the scientists not complain if, prior to their discovery of Fire, We
suggest that they first discover the crystal of imperil.
Besides, it has almost been discovered by them already. It is easier to
deal with the poison of irritation than to seek the superior psychic
energy.
Agni Yoga (1929) - 389: 389. Of course,
imperil is the main destroyer of psychic energy. But one
should not forget three other violators: fear, doubt, and self-pity. When
it becomes possible to physically measure psychic energy, it will be
instructive to see how these darkeners work to disrupt the flow of energy.
But the flow of energy can be supported by countering efforts based upon
self-sacrifice and achievement. These seemingly abstract concepts affirm
the reality of the Life Principle, whose energy is cognizable and
measurable.
Hierarchy (1931) - 125: 125. Observe how people read the
Teaching. Observe which passages they avoid and try not to notice. People
especially often close their eyes to everything referring to betrayal and
psychic murder. They do not even wish to consider that they can harm at a
distance by their thoughts. Thus people avoid that in which they are most
often guilty. One does not have to be a giant of thought in order to harm.
Even a mediocre thought poisoned by the crystal of
imperil will be very effective. To conceive treason means
to accomplish an evident half of the whole, because an already poisoned
shell will be receptive to the slightest impetus. Verily, poisoning by
thoughts is even more harmful than narcotics. Likewise, one can remind
about infection through thought-transmission. One may be weakened to such
an extent that each infection can easily approach. Thought is like a key
with which to open.
Hierarchy (1931) - 236: 236. It is correct to investigate
the importance of vitamins, but one should also experiment with the
reaction of psychic energy. One can see that a conscious consumption of
vitamins manifoldly increases their usefulness. Likewise, it can be
observed that the absorption of vitamins while one is irritated may
increase imperil, since an unconscious energy is
strengthened at a point where consciousness is gathered. One can
understand why the partaking of food was considered sacred by the
ancients. It is easy to understand to what an extent realization
multiplies all energies. So many simple experiments can be performed with
a minimum of observation. In order to increase respect for consciousness
one may call energy Atma, or psyche, or life, or consider it sacred, but
it is necessary to study its significance. By this channel we approach
Fohat, or atomic energy. It is essential to observe the microcosm and
transfer the formula to the Infinite.
Hierarchy (1931) - 316: 316. Healing through the fragrance
of flowers, resins, and seeds goes back to hoary antiquity. Thus, a rose
not only possesses a similarity to musk but also prevents
imperil. A garden of roses was considered by the ancients
as a place of inspiration. Freesias are beneficial for the sympathetic
nervous system, which vibrates so much in a Yogi. The seeds of barley are
unsurpassed for the lungs. You know already about mint, about the resin of
cedar and other resins. Perfumes are now bereft of meaning like all other
desecrated values, yet the origin of fragrance underlies a useful but
forgotten knowledge. Certainly the poisons of antiquity were very subtle.
The newly invented narcotics are comparatively crude; chiefly, they
destroy the intellect - in other words, precisely that which sustains the
balance in all psychic experiments. A flaming heart without spiritual
balance is an impossibility. Thus one must remember all details that bring
one close to Hierarchy.
Hierarchy (1931) - 335: 335. Humanity must carry out a
multitude of urgent experiments. Imperil must not only be
recognized as the calamity of the departing race but the contagion of
imperil should also be studied. It will be possible to
ascertain that imperil acts at far distances and can
affect the subtle body. Imperil clashes like a dissonance
with the Fire of Space. People who depart from Earth with a store of
imperil create for themselves a torturous existence; the
Fire of Space rushes upon them, for harmony means adherence to the
foundations. Each opposition to the foundations calls forth the
counteraction of the Fire of Space. Thus, one should admit that personal
irritation is an excrescence of the departing ones. But it must be noted
that people often do not wish to heed their own irritation, though the
dangerous poison does not diminish because of that.
Hierarchy (1931) - 422: 422. If you know that an exalted,
self-denying thought physically changes one's aura and even induces rays
from the shoulders, then you already know one of the great mysteries of
the world. Each visibility is the reflex of a material reaction. Thus, if
irritation generates imperil, then each exalted thought
must create an opposite beneficial substance. And so it is. Certainly
Bliss is a complete reality. It is generated in the cortical system and
reacts upon the brain matter. The Tibetan Ringse has a deep significance,
being the sediment crystallized by the manifestation of Bliss. Certainly
it is difficult to investigate the substance of Bliss while alive, for the
heart and brain cannot be touched. The manifestation of
imperil is much easier to approach, in the nerve channels
of the extremities. But at the same time it would be unjust to disclose to
humanity the negative substance and to presuppose only theoretically the
existence of the most salutary substance. Of course, in the laboratory
which is being created both substances will be demonstrated. We shall not
assist the usual experiments, but where the steps of evolution are being
built Our Hand will be on guard! First, We shall give attention to
establishing the fact of imperil. Afterward, We shall
define the ways of the manifestation of Bliss. If ancient science
preserved fragmentary memories about the sediments of Bliss, then,
certainly a biochemist can show more contemporary proofs of it. Later,
these experiments upon the substance of the organism will be transferred
to spatial energies. And again we shall understand why Bliss has the
closest correlation to Hierarchy.
Hierarchy (1931) - 423: 423. Indeed, it is not necessary to
call forth irritation, because men are filled to the brim with it. It is
only necessary to lock six bipeds in one room and within an hour the door
will be shaking from imperil. It is more difficult with
Bliss, but here, also, the knowledge of Agni Yoga and close cooperation
with certain plants will provide a perceptible result. Certainly the
densification of the astral body will provide irreplaceable possibilities.
A difficult time affords new approaches, and the tread of the New World is
already audible.
Heart (1932) - 93: 93. In all scriptures are presented
symbolic narratives of how hermits and saints compelled demons to serve
and labor for something useful. Truly, this is quite possible in case of a
disinterested impulse. I attest to what an extent all the dark ones serve
the structure when the power of self-sacrificing demand protects the
commanding heart. But one circumstance can be dangerous and
harmful-irritation full of imperil opens the entrance for
the dark ones. Where there is irritation various newcomers set themselves
to profit by it and increase the action of the poison. How much of the
texture is torn, how many tests and experiments are impeded, to the joy of
the malevolent ones! Advise to accept this not as a fairy tale but as a
dangerous reality. The source of good and evil does not disappear.
Heart (1932) - 190: 190. For the sharpening of taste,
hearing, and smell people shut their eyes; for the concentration of sight
people accompany the gaze with gestures. Thus, people cannot balance the
actions of the psychic energy and so adopt various artificial methods.
Likewise, people do not know how to find the balance between indignation
of spirit and equilibrium. Both concepts are needed for perfectment, but
how to reconcile militant indignation of spirit with wise balance? Usually
these concepts seem incompatible, but is it not balance which reacts upon
the indignation of spirit when the latter does not turn into irritation
and thus create imperil? On the contrary, an enlightened
and self-sacrificing indignation creates the most precious, ruby-like
armor. Thus only through the correct direction of psychic energy is poison
replaced by a treasure. But where is the judge of self-abnegation?
Certainly it is the heart. And not the heart, as such, but precisely the
heart facing Infinity.
Heart (1932) - 465: 465. The impression of the aura on film
does not depend upon the film itself, but on the photographer and the
subject photographed. The usual satisfactory plate is adequate, but the
qualities of the participants and the witnesses are especially important.
Not even with the excellent qualities of one participant should one expect
immediate results. The vina must be tuned in order to attain harmonies.
But people dislike preparatory work most of all. In addition, another
condition is necessary - one should be able to pass at least one day
without the slightest irritation. Imperil corrodes the
most significant reflexes of energy. An irritable person can be called a
shell in the full meaning of the word. The most significant results are
obscured by one crystal of imperil.
Imperil should not be regarded as a houseplant, its odor
is widespreading and blights all currents. Hence, when I speak against
irritation, I do not refer to dogma, but to an indicated medical cure. As
always, this consideration must be carried out beginning with the most
minute.
Heart (1932) - 466: 466. The Chain of the White Forces
should be constantly in one's thoughts. Not condemnation but only the
future structure is needed. Effulgent is the White Chain from the
Mountains of Light. These are significant times, when even the humblest
discern the magnificence of the White Chain. All Indications should be
fulfilled so that the specks of imperil may not impede
the might of the White Forces. It is even beautiful to brush away all
pettiness when titanic bodies are shaken.
Heart (1932) - 478: 478. Let them smile at Our Advice about
the heart. The most difficult for them will be to accept the dimensions of
everything, beginning with their own hearts. But We know how to await
understanding. The character of people is known to Us. Therefore We place
our confidence in the power of patience. Asserting courage, We will not
forget patience. It is a solace to know that patience overcomes any
irritation. In the intensity of patience a special substance is created
which, like a powerful antidote, neutralizes even
imperil. But, of course, patience is not a lack of
feeling. During criminal indifference, benevolent reactions are not
evident. Patience is a conscious tension and an opposition to darkness.
Heart (1932) - 569: 569. The scientific basis of the effect
of the human glance provided an opportunity for further investigations.
After investigation of the effect upon the human organism, of course
attention should be paid to the precipitates of the human glance upon
inanimate objects. If a glance reaches the state of poison, there can be a
similar stratification upon water and upon all types of objects. In fact,
the significance of the conjuration of water lies not in the rhythm of the
words, but in the glance. Certainly this reaction may be good or evil. As
usual, the evil meaning can be more easily sensed, as in the case of
imperil, but after having discovered evil the good will
also be detected. Thus, one may approach an investigation of various
mutual reactions. Is it not thrilling to observe the effects upon various
objects, when armed with contemporary apparatuses? The ancient legends
about the chalices of the world or the blessed pieces of cloth gain a
different rational significance. But the observers should be advised not
to stop at the first steps. Let them immediately expand their field of
experimentation. Will not the observation of the piercing of the
atmosphere by the human glance or thought lead to many conclusions? And
will not the reaction of the same energy at various altitudes be
instructive? One can begin with crude manifestations, as was already done
with the evil eye. But it is better not to delay observation of the
benevolent eye. One may discover the most beneficial results. One ought to
concentrate on these.
Fiery World - Book 1 (1933) - 161: 161. You are right in
observing that precisely a lack of inner well-being is especially ruinous.
One may win all lawsuits, one may meet new friends, but inner dissolution
can drive away the very best friend. When pepper dust is in the air, all
begin to sneeze. Thus can imperil be spread. You have
seen more than once how new circumstances have appeared, but they have to
be met. Thus, it is necessary once and for all to understand about the
infection of imperil! It is inadmissible to refer
light-mindedly to decomposition! This process is transmitted like leprosy.
There can be either an increase of strength or disintegration, there can
be no third condition. One should not advise strengthening by force. It is
impossible to save anyone from leprosy by coercion. It is impossible to
keep anyone from imperil by violence. Friendliness is not
violence. Growth of the heart comes not from a whip, and a beautiful
garden can be grown only by beautiful actions. Offense to Hierarchy is
irreparable.
Fiery World - Book 1 (1933) - 538: 538. The perversion of
human understanding has gone so far that a man infected with the
imperil of irritation or malice is sometimes called a
fiery being. Even malice people sometimes describe as inflamed. But since
Agni is a connecting, all-pervading element, it is actually the principle
of equilibrium. The human spirit has recourse to this element during
ascent; even in a mechanical ascent use is made of the fiery principle. It
should be explained that the inflammation of imperil in
no wise corresponds to purified Agni. People themselves try to implant in
their consciousness a disparaging meaning of many great manifestations.
Indeed, it is a good exercise to occasionally spend a day without
disparaging.
Fiery World - Book 1 (1933) - 543: 543. Why should evil
sometimes seem to be the victor? Only because of the instability of good.
By a purely physiological method it can be proved that domination by evil
is short-lived. Evil emerges together with imperil, but
can at first produce only a strong flash; afterwards it begins to
deteriorate and gradually destroys its own progenitor. This means that if
Agni is even partially manifested, it will not cease to increase. Thus,
when imperil begins to decompose, Agni, on the contrary,
acquires its full strength. Therefore I advise that the first attack of
evil be endured, in order to leave evil to its own destruction. Moreover,
during the duel between evil and good - in other words between
imperil and Agni - the latter will grow proportionately,
as imperil putrefies its possessor. Thus should one
observe the duel between the low and the high, but only a mature
consciousness can encourage one to withstand evil. It is useful to
remember this and to gather not only strength but also patience, in order
to conquer that which is in itself doomed to annihilation. I affirm that
the truth, "Light conquers darkness," has even a physiological basis.
Fiery World - Book 2 (1934) - 26: 26. One may observe
different types of people, who can be distinguished according to their
natures. Some do not think about the future, fulfilling, as it were, their
entire purpose in this earthly life. Others strive forward with their
whole spirit, for them earthly life does not present any finality. Even if
not highly refined, these people sense with the heart that everything is
ahead of them. Have dealings with the latter, for notwithstanding their
errors they will be still striving into the future, and thus will already
belong to the Truth. You know that Agni lives in the hearts of those who
love the future. Even if their Agni is not yet manifested, its
potentiality is inexhaustible. Likewise look with compassion upon people
who do not know the future, as upon the sick. And truly their aura will
not be luminous, for it will be deprived of the radiation of Materia
Lucida. Many people have formed such privation for themselves, that they
cannot even manifest through the opaque substance of the nerves. As
imperil obstructs the movement of the fiery substance, so
a limited thinking makes the precious substance turbid. One may heal these
diseases through hypnotic suggestion.
Fiery World - Book 2 (1934) - 35: 35. There is no reason
for a scholar to think that the substance of the emanation of the
fingertips is only poisonous. It depends entirely upon the spiritual
state. The imperil of a nervous observer, of course will
give poisonous sediments if he pays no attention to the spiritual
condition of his organism. The ability to discern differences in nervous
conditions will give to the scientists an incomparable possibility. For
even the phosphorescence of the fingertips varies. And every radiation is
based upon chemism.
Fiery World - Book 2 (1934) - 384: 384. Warnings are useful
in all cases. Earthly ailments ought to be anticipated. It is impossible
to provide people with a panacea if the conditions of life are not
purified. People dream about deliverance from cancer, that spiritual
scorpion, but they do nothing to preclude its germination. You already
know that the remedy given to you is one of the best against cancer, but
it is also necessary to make use of vegetarian diet, and not to indulge in
irritating smoking and drinking. Furthermore, one must expel
imperil, and then the indicated remedy will be a good
shield. But people usually do not wish to renounce all the destructive
excesses, and they wait until the scorpion stings them. Likewise do other
terrible diseases spread, as the dark gates are held open for them.
Fiery World - Book 2 (1934) - 387: 387. Often accidental
shocks restore sight, hearing, and other lost senses. Does not this force
one to think the crystal of imperil and other sediments
have been suddenly expelled from the organism? Thus, strive to understand
why sometimes in antiquity shock was applied in treatment of certain
illnesses and paralysis.
Fiery World - Book 3 (1935) - 9: 9. Sources which are
responsive to subtle energies are very sensitive. Hence that quality which
reveals itself mostly in pure currents is so very important. Likewise, as
the results of chemical experiments vary with the use of different
vessels, substances and combinations, the manifestations of subtle
receptivity are also quite diverse. An organism filled with
imperil will admit only a small particle of the sending.
An organism which is saturated with selfhood will impart a dreadful
coloration which distorts the sending. An organism imbued with malevolence
will carry the distorted sending to a neighbor. Thus the distortion in the
reception of a sending results from certain qualities in the receiver. You
were justified in asking why do We not put a stop to such distortions. It
is because there are records of writings by human hands so monstrous as to
represent the Mahatmas of the East as issuing condemnation upon retiring
for the night. So think those who seek the condemnation of a neighbor.
Indeed, people attribute to the Mahatmas even slander. People ascribe to
Us all their earthly qualities.
Fiery World - Book 3 (1935) - 10: 10. Let us continue about
sendings and receivings. The ability is given to a fiery spirit to receive
subtle energies. Only the fiery consciousness is able to conduct a current
of subtle energies. Therefore the records must be scrutinized with a great
deal of discrimination. It is because humanity has become accustomed to
visualizing the Highest on a low plane, that the Images of the Lords have
acquired such distorted forms. Indeed, people have become used to the
thought that the Higher should serve the lower, but they do not realize
that only the understanding of Service gives one the right to a manifested
link of the Chain. Thus it is the distorted understanding of sendings that
produces the results which litter the space. We know of cases wherein the
Higher Ones called a disciple "Mahatma" but some recipients of the gray
variety perverted this great sending to the point of ugliness. Therefore
We shall give a fair warning against all distortion and false records.
When we call a disciple "Mahatma" We affirm a great potentiality. But what
does a medium or a recipient poisoned with imperil
reveal? Thus, it is necessary to purify the profane human actions and to
destroy these records in the future. In the Fiery World only the fiery
consciousness can be a true recipient of Our Sendings.
Fiery World - Book 3 (1935) - 103: 103. Transmutation of
the centers intensifies the creative energies which are necessary for
crossing into the Subtle World. Each spiritual striving produces its
sediments, which assume the aspect of subtle energies during the passage
into the Subtle World. Thus, it is important to aspire into the Higher
Spheres. Ecstasy of spirit and joy of the heart yield those energies which
nourish the subtle body. Indeed, only a feeling imbued with higher
impulses provides the needed energies. It must be understood that
imperil and gross earthly desires produce their ugly
ulcers, which the spirit must heal in the subtle body. Ulcers of the
spirit are carried over into the Subtle World if they are not gotten rid
of on the Earth. Liberation from the physical vehicle does not mean
deliverance from spiritual ulcers. When the spirit, faced with breaking
away from the Earth, realizes how it has used its energies, then the
consciousness can atone for a great deal; but the consciousness must be
impelled toward the thought about the Higher Worlds. Even the most serious
criminal can be directed toward the understanding of the burden of Karma,
but for this it is necessary to change the social conditions. Thus, on the
path to the Fiery World one should become accustomed to the thought about
transmutation of the centers, because liberation from the body is not
deliverance from spiritual ulcers.
Fiery World - Book 3 (1935) - 159: 159. The protective net
contains reflections of the centers. One cannot be affirmed upon any
manifestations without touching the protective net. One can imagine these
reflections of the centers as their potentials which are inflamed or
awakened depending upon this or that feeling, inclination, or action. Even
in physical infections one may seek the cause in the unguarded state of
the protective net. These processes indicate how important it is to watch
the protective net, and how readily possible it is to disturb these
radiations of the spirit. True, when the radiation is saturated with
higher feelings or strivings, the protective net is strengthened by these
energies. But blots, noticeable on the aura, must be studied as indexes of
various spiritual ulcers. Therefore, only he who apprehends the whole
creativeness of the spirit foresees the advisability of guarding the
protective net. In contacting the spatial Fire, it is needful to
understand all the processes of the laboratory of the centers. Thus, on
the path to the Fiery World one should become affirmed in one's
consciousness upon the ruinous effect of selfhood, which causes irritation
by manifesting actual poisoning with imperil.
AUM (1936) - 293: 293. If the precipitates of space upon
cities were to be investigated, something similar to
imperil would be found among the poisonous substances.
Carefully observing this poison, one comes to the conviction that it is
imperil exhaled by the breath of evil. Undoubtedly,
breathing permeated with evil is a carrier of injurious effects. If poison
can be deposited in the organism, due to irritation, if the saliva can be
made poisonous, then the breath can also be made a poison-carrier. It is
necessary to judge how much evil is being exhaled and how multiform are
the aspects of evil compressed into the new combinations of poisons
present in enormous crowds of people. This is increased by the varied
effluvia of decomposing foods and all manner of refuse which litter the
streets even in metropolises. It is time to look after the cleanliness of
backyards. Cleanliness is necessary out of doors and in the human
breathing. The imperil exhaled by irritated people is
identical with filth, or shameful refuse. It is imperative to impress
people's consciousness with the fact that each bit of filth infects those
around. The filth of moral dissolution is worse than any excretions.
AUM (1936) - 294: 294. Nothing can vindicate the
self-generation of poison, it is the equivalent of murder and suicide.
Even the most undeveloped people sense the approach of such a
poison-bearer. Distress, anxiety and fear enter with him. Many physical
diseases break out as a result of the infiltration of
imperil - just as if a firebrand had worked its way in.
AUM (1936) - 295: 295. The speed of thought transmission at
a distance is incredible. But conditions exist which retard even this
lightning-speed energy, namely an atmosphere poisoned by
imperil. Observations upon thought can yield remarkable
deductions pertaining to both the physical and the psychic. One can see
how evil thought engenders imperil, a physical substance;
the same substance is also involved in psychic transmission, and can even
retard the speedy reception of the sending. Thus, imperil
can progressively complicate the effects of thoughts. Pay attention to the
fact that imperil is born of egoism, but that it acts
beyond self upon broad masses. This means that egoism is criminal not only
as regards the egoist himself but also in relation to people at large.
AUM (1936) - 331: 331. In anger and irritation man
considers himself strong - this is according to earthly considerations.
But regarded from the Subtle World, the irritated man is especially
powerless. He attracts to himself a great number of small entities which
feed on the emanations of anger. Besides, he lets down his own bars and
allows even the lower beings to read his thoughts. Therefore, the state of
irritation is inadmissible not only as a producer of
imperil but also as a gateway for lower entities.
AUM (1936) - 387: Likewise, one should avoid the saturated
effects of quarrels and of any irritations. Imperil will
be the chief enemy of development of psychic energy. Also harmful is an
atmosphere permeated with emanations of foodstuffs. Likewise harmful is
the presence of animals. Thus, each one within his own possibilities will
eliminate that which is not useful.
Brotherhood (1937) - 92: 92. Detested labor is not only a
misery for the unsuccessful worker but it poisons the whole surrounding
atmosphere. The discontent of the worker does not permit him to find joy
and to improve the quality. Moreover, imperil born of
irritation redoubles gloomy thoughts, with effects fatal to creativeness.
But the definite question may arise as to what is to be done if not
everyone can find work corresponding to his vocation. Undoubtedly, many
people cannot apply themselves in the way they would like. There exists a
remedy for lifting such a blight. Scientific attainments show that above
the everyday routine there is a beautiful domain accessible to all - the
realization of psychic energy. In experiments with it one may be convinced
that farmers often possess a goodly store of the energy. Likewise, many
other fields of labor aid the conservation of energy. Therefore, amid the
most diverse labors one may find uplifting strength.
Brotherhood (1937) - 580: The neophytes of the Brotherhood
are tested upon fear. A most hopeless situation is shown to them, and one
waits to see what solution will be chosen by the tested one. Very few will
think, What is there to be afraid of since the Brotherhood stands behind
us? Precisely such a premise liberates one from fear and brings to light a
free, beneficial solution. But most often, before thinking about the
Brotherhood, a man will promptly get distressed, irritated, and filled
with imperil. A plea from one filled with poison will not
be useful. |
