Another section of the 1806 Philadelphia YM discipline (the table below will look most coherent on a monospace screen): _________________________________________________________________ STOCK AGREED, that there be collections brought in from each quarterly, unto the next yearly meeting, for a yearly meeting stock, to defray the charges of the said meeting, according to the several agreements made or hereafter to be made. 1695 A stock having been generally kept, and by experience found useful, for the necessary occasions of the society, it is agreed, that the same be occasionally renewed by a collection from each quarter and that it be continued in the hands of the treasurer appointed by this meeting, and subject to be drawn out by its direction or by the meeting for sufferings, as the exigencies of society may require. The sums which may be thought necessary, shall be raised by each quarter, in the proportions which may be ascertained by this meeting from time to time.
