BRIZO , an See also:

ancient goddess worshipped in See also:Delos. She delivered oracles in dreams to those who consulted her about See also:fishery and seafaring. The See also:women of Delos offered her presents consisting of little boats filled with all kinds of eatables (with the exception of See also:fish) in See also:order to obtain her See also:protection for those engaged 'on the See also:sea (See also:Athenaeus viii. p. 335).
