MOLLUSCOIDA , a name See also:long employed to denote a See also:division of the See also:animal See also:kingdom which contained Brachiopods (q.v.), See also:Polyzoa (q.v.), and See also:Tunicata (q.v.), the members of the three See also:groups having been supposed to resemble the See also:Mollusca. As it is now known that these groups have no relation to molluscs, and very little to one another, the name Molluscoida has been abandoned.
