PIBROCH , a See also:

form of See also:music as played by the bagpipe. The word is derived from the Gaelic piobaireachd, the See also:art of the bagpiper. This See also:special form of bagpipe music, consisting of a See also:series of See also:variations founded on a theme, was called the urlar. These variations are generally of a See also:martial or warlike See also:character and include dirges and See also:marches (see BAGPIPE).
