SCHOTTISCHE , the See also:

German for " Scottish," a name given to a See also:dance, der schottische Tanz, introduced into See also:England about 185o. It was a See also:form of See also:polka, with two figures. The " High-See also:land Schottische " is a lively dance resembling a fling.
