ALIGNING WITH THE EARTH

In this pass we will energize the three arcs of energy that exist in the luminous body, and that act as a shield. By lifting the foot up and down, we use the bones of the lower legs as pumps, pumping energy and awareness up the leg into the body. At another event where these passes were shown, 'rubber feet' from 'the running man' was performed before every pass.

 

Start with the left foot.

1. Rub the space between the little toe and the fourth toe, on the foot, next to the little toe's first knuckle. Put the thumb on top of the foot and the index on the same spot below the foot. Rub ever so slightly.

2. Now do the same thing with the spot between the big toe and the second toe, next to the big toe's first knuckle. There is an arc of energy running between the two points that you have just activated, running along the top of the foot.

3. Bring the Left foot's toes up, while the fingers press at the junction of the toes with the foot. Do this a few times.

4. Arc of the foot up by pulling in the toes; the fingers are curled inward and resting on the toes; actually, they keep the toes down as you lift up the foot-bones. Do this a few times.

5. Move the foot up and down, with the tips of the fingers kept at the junction of the instep with the bone of the leg, on both sides of the leg.

6. Move the foot up and down, with tips of the fingers of the left hand outside the left knee at the junction of the top of the shinbone with the bone of the thigh(or: the fingers are simply held horizontally around the knee); leave right hand at the instep where it was in the previous movement.

Now repeat the previous sequence for the right foot.

 

7. Soles of the feet are put facing each other; the knees sag down; the little toes maintain contact with the earth; lay down. Bring up energy to the left vital centre, the right one, and then to the places that most need it by moving the hands up the legs to these areas.

8. Take up energy to the left vital centre, to the right one and to the point between the anus and the genitals by breathing the energy up from the toes. Breathe in as you pull the energy up to the groin, tensing the muscles of the buttocks and pelvis, and breathe out as you store the energy there or in the vital centers. You may prefer squeezing the inner muscles of the legs with the hands as you exhale, or not.

9. Sit up and choose a direction which you like; you are sitting, you feet under you. You bring the hands in front of the forehead, palms out, both hands touching each other with their index fingers and thumbs. In this position rest the hands on the floor in front of you, then rest the forehead on the space between these fingers, your butt in the air. Relax the shoulders, the back, the belly... Breathe in letting the energy you brought up 'fall' from your pelvis into your back, your lungs, the upper torso...

10. Get up and lay down on your back with the knees drawn up, the feet firmly on the ground so that the contact with the earth is intense. The back and the head is in close contact with the earth as well. The eyes are half closed and remain so for the rest of the movement.
You must become aware of the contact with the earth, first with your feet, your source of intense contact; your awareness goes up your legs, hips, your back resting heavily on the earth, relax and get comfortable till the contact becomes nurturing.

Now turn off your inner dialogue, look at the ceiling, and let the earth do its work....

 

After some time (really take your time) roll on the right side, put our head on your right arm, put your left handŐs palm in front of the stomach on the mat and with the help of the right handŐs palm that is now placed on the mat, push up your body and get to a standing position.

You can do this exercise again in a new direction; take the direction that feels somehow the right one that day. Your preference may change, however. Be aware of what you feel.
