The ignorant people who support Hitler are not a threat to society. Michael Deery, Miha, Nic, and whom ever else shares their opinions, you are all pathetic. You honor a cowerd who has been dead for 55 years. Perhaps you think that you intimidate people with you irrational ideas, but you are laughed at. Hitler is not a hero. He was a sad, pathetic man, who killed himself. He is dead, and the Final Solution died with him. This site is intended to honor those who were killed during the Holocaust, and those who survived. I'm sure you can find your own pathetic nazi web site, and enlighten the people there.

I visited Dachau in the mid 70's as an american soldier stationed in Germany. The things that I saw have remained with me for all these years. Mans inhumanity to each other could be stopped if all were to visit Dachau or any of the other camps. The stench of the ovens could still be smelled at that time. And it had been close to thirty years! I do not think I will ever forget the things I saw. My congregation, and all of the groups I minister to are aware of these atrocities and how we all were and are affected.

The capability of mankind for inhumanity was broadly hinted at during the medieval era, but the Holocaust was truly the most vivid example. Furthermore, we should all work to understand how and why the Holocaust happened. Not only is it a dark shadow in man's past - it is a warning to man's future.

Just visited Dachau three weeks ago. Thank you for the very good historical review. You've answered many of my questions. I visited Manzanar in Calfiornia last year. The striking difference between the two was the remoteness and isolation of Manzanar compared to Dachau which is just part of a well kept suburb of Munich. Incredibly hard to believe the Germans turned their backs on this horrible place. At Dachau, I was shocked to see how many concentration camps there were all over Europe. I thought there were only the big well known names like Dachau and Auschwitz. Regards, MC Oakland, CA

I am interested in document the stories of survivors of the Kosovar holocaust and forming a group to help victims of genocide in Africa. I have read and watched Holocaust stories with great interest. I am in touch with the Simon Wiesenthal center .

I am a teacher of World History and U.S. History, and I find this Project very helpful in aiding my students in undeerstanding the Holocaust. They were particularly interested in Mr. Edeiken's essay on David Irving, libel trial. They and I are waiting with anticipation for the final essay in the series.

In 1991 my Jr High had a visitor named Barry Spanjaard. He was taken to a concentration camp when he was 12. I just recently found his book. Now at 22 yrs old I can appreciate his book. It touched me deeply to read what happened to those people. After finishing reading it,(2 times in a row) I decided to search the internet for more information on the holocaust. I came across you site. It is amazing. I have spent 4 hours on this site reading everything. Thank you for sharing these experiences with everyone. If anyone reads this the name of the book I read is called: Don't Fence Me In! An American Teenager in the Holocaust. By Barry Spanjaard.

Words can not be used to describe the horror of the Holocaust. If you are to read one piece of literiture, read 'Elli - Coming of Age in the Holocaust' by Livia E. Bitton Jackson

"...when Elli emerged from Auschwitz and Dachau just over a year later, she was fourteen. She looked like a sixty-year-old..." excerpt from 'Elli'

It was possibly the most horrific event in our history.

It was the Holocaust.

Even though the Nazis did wrong does not me all the Germans should be punished. Half of the Germans at the beging thought that Hitler was the greatest but later they tried to escape. My father was 10 years old when hitler was running germany. So you can see that little children had no clue what was really going on except that there was a war. Even though many people died because of the Nazis does not me all the Germans were a Nazis. Think about how many germans helped the german jews escaped. I hope I do not come on to you as rude but I do not apreicate people saying that all germans that were in germany at that time were Nazis. So thank you,for telling part of the truth. Oh by the way nobody knows the real truth unless you were there and new exactly what happened, but nobody wants to talk about bad memorys.

I never cease to be amazed by man's inhumanity to man, and the lengths that he is prepared to go. This site and others on the subject are a must for anyone willing to learn. It is a shame that there are those who cannot accept that what happened was wrong, and can only see this subject as a continuing attack on the German people. These who then have great difficulty in expressing themselves without recourse to profanity are to be pittied reather than reviled and then Ignored. Wishig the site all the success it deserves. John

I think your web site is fine, but I think it is a shame that you have to spend so much time fighting so many battles against deniers of the holocaust. Hopefully, these people make up only a small proportion of people, and an even smaller proportion of educated people.

I wish that some of my deeper questions like "how could have something so evil have happened?" could be answered, instead of you good people having to waste your time trying to reprove the obvious.

Your site provides an important and useful "remembrance" of just how bestial civilized human beings can become and the massive assault on humanity they are able to bring about through the uses of forcek propaganda, intimidation, and sterotyping. Imagine, then, what would happen had Hitler and his regime had the use of computers available....
