Jeannette Bernard Alice


Thérèse, Jeannette, and Alice APFELDORFER were 16, 10, and 8 years old, respectively, when they were deported on convoy 40 of November 4, 1942, after having been arrested in Mareuil (Charente) during the October 1942 roundup of foreign Jews in the Occupied Zone. Their older sister, Hélène, age 20, was deported with them. Their brother Bernard, 18, was deported on March 6, 1943, on convoy 51.
