Hélène and Macha
AUSLERNER, born in Warsaw, were ages 9 and 8, respectively, when they were
arrested during the Vel d'Hiv roundup. They were deported on
convoy 23 of August 24, 1942, with their
mother and their little brother, Charles, 2, of whom no photograph remains.
Their father preceded them on convoy 3.
