| Roland BAUMGART and his brother
Bernard had been interned in the
Lalande camp since 1940. Both were born in Strasbourg-Roland on September 30,
1936, Bernard on December 3, 1933. They were ages 5 and 9, respectively, when
they were deported on convoy 36 of
September 23, 1942. Refugees in Bordeaux before their transfer to Lalande, the
children had already watched their parents, Abraham and Chana, be taken on
convoy 8. |
