Mr. and Mrs. GLUBA had five children. Two of them, Sarah and Michel, survived. Their father, Charles, was deported on convoy 13, and their mother, Bertha, on convoy 16. David, age 16, was deported on convoy 13 of July 31, 1942; Maurice, 5, on convoy 21 of August 19, 1942; and Henri, 14, on convoy 42 of November 6, 1942. They lived in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle). Michel (second from left), who escaped the roundups, is shown in this picture taken in April 1942 in the camp at la Motte-Beuvron (Loir-et-Cher) with his three brothers, who were deported.
