These are children from the UGIF Lamarck center, which moved to the Lucien de Hirsch school, avenue Secrétan (19th arr.), after the Allied bombing of Montmartre on April 21, 1944. First row: Rosa KALINSKY (first from the left), born on March 7, 1936, in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle); second row: Marguerite (Madeleine) GRUSZKA (first from the left), born on February 23, 1928, in Metz (Moselle); Renée KALINSKY (fourth from the left), born on July 6, 1927, in Nancy; fourth row: Estelle KALINSKY (first from the left), born on April 4, 1930, in Nancy. All four were deported, not to return, on July 31, 1944, on convoy 77. There others have also been identified. Second row: Eva NADEL (second from the left), born on March 22, 1928, in Villerupt (Moselle), was deported on convoy 77 and survived; Tauba (Thérèse) FRICHMANN (third from the left), born on February 9, 1931, in Metz. She returned from Bergen-Belsen, where she was deported on July 23, 1944. Fifth row: Rachel MEDZELEWSKI (second from the left), born on August 18, 1930, in Warsaw; she too returned from Bergen-Belsen.
