Three of the children shown in this picture taken in
Metz (Moselle) in 1939 perished three years later in Auschwitz: Jeannette
PRYNC (second from left) and her sisters Sarah
(center) and Hélène (first from right).
Sarah, the oldest, age 12, was born in Wielun, Poland; the two others were born
in Metz; Jeannette was 8 and Hélène, 9. Having fled from Metz,
they were arrested northeast of Bordeaux in Angoulême (Charente), at 21
bis avenue Jules-Ferry. They were deported on convoy 40 of November 4, 1942. |
