The Faucet
by Marcus Bowers
When the faucet was first turned on
The water was clear and its substance would
Break all rocky things near.
But over time it became rusted.
The plumber said the pipes were busted
So when the water dropped no one would
Touch it.
And it flooded the homes of those who
Formerly trusted it.
