Hi!

Do you want to listen to some wonderful background music while you read, or surf the net, or to you need some unique background music for your next party? Select a performer and sit back and listen to some of the world's greatest music, courtesy of Jimbo Berkey. Click on any performer and relax to the music and musicians that changed our world. You will not be interrupted by advertising or anything else. Just pure, outstanding early public domain music, from Thomas Edison wax cylinders to 78rpm swingin' jazz and pop records.

The years from 1900 till 1950 saw the greatest evolution in music that this world has ever seen. For five hundred years previous, the European Masters ruled the music world. Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin and others were the stars of music. But the first half of the twentieth century saw music transition from classical through Blues, Jazz, Ragtime, Big Band, Swing and the birth of Rock and Roll. The performers below are in no particular order, to encourage you to try not only your favorites, but also to explore the performers that you are not familiar with. If you are only looking for a familiar music style you will find it here, but I would encourage you to be adventurous and sample music from performers that is new and different to you.
