Calling All Cars was written and directed by William N. Robson, and sponsored by the Rio Grande Petroleum Products and broadcast during the Great Depression years of 1933-1939 on the West Coast CBS radio network. Charles Frederick Lindsley was the narrator, and each episode was opened by a member of the Los Angeles Police Force.
