Apatite is calcium phosphate, the same mineral that your teeth are made of.  This
type of green apatite from Mexico is known as "asparagus stone" because the
crystal resembles asparagus in color and shape.  Even though your teeth are made
of apatite, aren't you glad that they are not green like this crystal?
