hexagonal pseudomorphs after aragonite-2
These apparently hexagonal plates originally
started out as complex twins of
aragonite crystals, but have since been
converted to calcite. The re-entrant angles
on some of the hexagonal sides show
that the original crystals were really not a
hexagonal mineral.
