Bauxite is Al₂O₃.2H₂O
Bauxite is a hydrous aluminum oxide and is the chief ore of aluminum.  The most
distinguishing feature of bauxite is its texture.  Bauxite is made up of many small
spheres or nodules glued together; this texture is referred to as oolitic or pisolitic. 
The small spherules range in size from one-eighth to one quarter inch.  Bauxite can
be white, cream, gray, yellow, or reddish brown depending upon iron content.
