on beryl
Beryl comes from the Greek word, beryllos.
Beryl is the primary source of the element beryllium.
Most beryl comes from pegmatites and must be hand sorted.
The most common crystal shape of beryl is a six-sided prism.
Gem varieties of beryl include emeralds (green), aquamarine
blue-green), morganite (pink), and heliodor(yellow).
