Cassiterite is SnO2
Cassiterite, tin oxide, is the primary ore of tin.  The specimens shown below are
known as "wood tin" because of their brown, wood-like color and texture.  In
scientific terms these rounded nodules of cassiterite are described as reniform
and botryoidal.  The nodules have a radiating fibrous structure with concentric
banding.  The nodules in this photo are just under one centimeter in length.
