chalcopyrite crystals on dolomite-1
In the Tri-State district, crystals of
chalcopyrite are commonly found perched on
top of curved rhombohedrons of
dolomite. The crystal form of chalcopyrite is
clearly shown in the
following photo. Bright triangular faces stand out; they are
part of a
tetrahedron that consists of four of the triangular faces.
