     Galena most commonly forms cubic crystals, octahedrons, and cubes
     modified by octahedron faces.

Mineral Associations:  commonly occurs with fluorite, anglesite, sphalerite

Identifying Characteristics:  metallic luster, high density, and the three good
     directions of cleavage

Uses:  lead ore

Occurrences:  Tri-State district 

Toxicity:      when-swallowed- high        when inhaled- very high
