STORING KALE

 Kale  may be stored in the ground if it is protected  with

insulating
 material  before  the snow  falls.   It  can  be

harvested
 in late winter and early spring.  If it is stored

in
a cellar or  trench, follow  the same  guidelines  as for

celery.
