Go to http://www.microsoft.com/updates to install the latest updates. ======================================================================== This program can be installed on multiple computers on a network. Before using the Admin Setup wizard, review the Administrator's Guide (AG.htm) for instructions about how to install the program. To locate the Network Installation Guide: 1. Insert the program installation disc (CD disc 1 or the DVD) to the CD drive or DVD drive. 2. In Windows Explorer, open the CD or DVD, and then open the Support folder. 3. Double-click AG.htm. Notes * Network installation is available for Microsoft Student and Microsoft Encarta Premium, but not for Microsoft Encarta 2009 or Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Standard 2009. * Network installation may not be available if the program came installed on your computer from the manufacturer, or if you received your program CDs or DVD from the computer manufacturer. ======================================================================== Learning Essentials can be installed in only one language on a computer Learning Essentials for Microsoft Office is installed with Microsoft Student. However, Learning Essentials can be installed in only one language on a computer. If Microsoft Student is installed in more than one language on this computer, Learning Essentials content is available only in the last language in which Microsoft Student was installed. Note: Learning Essentials is available only in Microsoft Student. ======================================================================== In Administrator install, Learning Essentials can only be installed locally During Administrator Install of this product, select to install Learning Essentials Content locally. ======================================================================== Uninstalling Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 may cause errors This program may not function properly if you uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 from the computer. To restore proper function, uninstall this program, and then re-install it. ======================================================================== Changing the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration may cause errors If you change the .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration properties, the program may no longer function properly. Change the Permission Set to FullTrust on the All_Code Properties dialog box. ======================================================================== Antivirus or anti-spyware software may affect installation When you install this program, the antivirus or anti-spyware software may prompt you to accept or confirm the installation. ======================================================================== ======================================================================== 2. GENERAL ISSUES ======================================================================== ======================================================================== Errors when the installation folder name contains extended characters This program may not function properly if the name of the installation folder contains extended characters. Uninstall the program, and then install it to a folder name that does not contain extended characters. For information about extended characters, see Help for Windows. ======================================================================== Page Not Found error or blank pages appear when navigating content This may be caused by a problem with Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 6.0. Please download and install the latest version of MSXML 6.0. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads, and then search for "MSXML 6.0". ======================================================================== The program opens slowly when computer has antivirus software enabled If your computer has antivirus software enabled, the program may open very slowly. To have it open more quickly, add the EIT file extension, ECT file extension, and EFG file extension to the safe file list for the antivirus software, or do not scan files with those extensions. ======================================================================== This program does not support Preview or Beta versions of other software This program does not support Preview or Beta versions of other software, such as Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, or Windows operating system.
