Nickel Rant ^™:  Of Course, You Know, This Means War!

My name is Edgar J. Steele and this is a 5-minute Nickel Rant.

In case you hadn't noticed, we are at war.  I'm not talking about George Bush's so-called "War on Terror," in the name of which so many innocent American, Iraqi and Afghani lives have been lost.  Those conflicts merely are symptoms of the real war. 

The war I'm talking about is the third to take place on American soil. 

Yes, just the third.  Aside from the Revolutionary War and the War of Northern Aggression, known throughout the North as the Civil War, the Mexican-American War technically was fought on Mexican land, soon to become American.

Just as the Cold War with Russia was a stealth conflict, so too is the war now being waged in the streets and neighborhoods of America seemingly without actual combat.  Except, people really are dying in this war.  And being imprisoned.  And raped.  And their possessions taken from them.  The real difference is that you don't hear much about all those things.  And, when you do, they are spun into other things by a controlled media desperate to keep the lid on an America seething with resentment of so many things:  illegal immigration, racial favoritism, economic dislocation and a rapidly-escalating distrust of government owing to the manifest lies concerning the Middle East.

"Of course, you know, this means war!"  Even cartoon characters seem to know what is going on.  Why doesn't the rest of America?

Why can't people see that their daughters and wives are being raped and murdered by hostile interlopers, both Mexican and Black, in numbers that rival anything that takes place during a major war? 

Why can't people see that those of us being arrested and prosecuted for so-called "hate crimes" simply are political dissidents in a land that no longer tolerates political beliefs different from its rulers?  After all, what is a POW, except someone in hostile territory held in prison because of unacceptable political beliefs? 

Matt Hale got 40 years for not objecting strenuously enough to an FBI agent's entrapment proposal to kill a Federal judge.  40 years!  Think about that for a moment.  The State's evidence was so weak that his defense lawyer rested without even presenting a case, thereby demonstrating his contempt.  Of course, based on results, it is not clear for whom he bore that contempt.  People routinely get out after a handful of years for actual murders, yet Hale gets 40 years and he wasn't even guilty!  Why?  Because he offended the people who really control America today.  You know that's the answer and you know who they are.  If you have a better explanation, please tell me.  I'm all ears.

Recently, filmmakers in Illinois were arrested merely for videotaping police while they were issuing citations to citizens...in public.

Meanwhile, LA's Sheriff is demanding that a law be passed to allow him to arrest anybody he thinks might be a political dissident, with a registry of those people arrested to be published, similar to that now used for convicted child molesters.  Look, I couldn't simply make up something this outrageous.  If you are listening to this broadcast, please go to my website and download the transcript so that you might click on all the hyperlinks I have embedded in it, linking to various articles supporting the things I now am telling you.

Torture?  We seem to have that in spades now, don't we?  You think it takes place only in military installations outside America's borders?  In the words of The Godfather's Michael Corleone:  "Now who's being naive?" 

The same people are here in America.  The same arrogance is in control here in America as in its imperial outposts.  Why, even our new Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, who now is in charge of America's Justice system, is on record as favoring the use of torture.  Gonzales was the guy who, in 2002, personally approved the CIA torture of prisoners in the now infamous Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.  His reward?  He gets to be Attorney General!

Gonzales?  Clearly not a traditionally American name.  In fact, this guy who now is in charge of America's entire justice system and who likes to torture people, is the offspring of Mexican immigrants.  Legal?  Who knows?  What does that tell you about Bush's intentions regarding the flood of illegal immigrants crossing America's border and bringing with them pandemic disease, unemployment and impoverishment of our social and medical support systems?

In fact, the Administration just floated a trial balloon about dissolving our borders with both Mexico and Canada altogether.

Wake up, America!  Wake up to what is being done in your name.  Wake up to what is being done to your own people!  We are at war!  Rather, our own government is at war with us.

Make no mistake about what is taking place!  What is at risk is nothing less than the future of our entire race.  Your children and their children.  And mine.  But, it is happening so fast that we, ourselves, also are likely to become war casualties.

George W. Bush.  A name that will go down in infamy for having been on watch and lied to us continually, all while America destroyed herself.  I let a cartoon character start this little tirade.  I'll let him finish it, too:  "What a maroon!  What an ignoranimus!"
