    1/2 oz. myrrh
    Of this mixture, take a heaping tsp. to 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep 20 to 30 minutes. Drink 1 cupful an hour before meals and before going to bed.

    (Used externally as a wash, applied 4 or 5 times a day, it is used to treat scurvy, erysipelas, sores, scald head, tetters, and rashes.)
