chlorite cleavage-1
Chlorite is (Mg,Fe)5(Al,Fe''')2Si3O10(OH)8
Chlorite is a group of minerals closely
related to the micas. The mineral splits into
thin sheets, just like mica,
but, unlike mica, chlorite sheets are tough and inelastic.
Another feature
that can be used to identify chlorite from mica is its green color.
