Cleavage:   (110)  perfect                
     Crystals are often acicular. like aragonite.
     Tends to form pseudo-hexagonal twins.

Transparency:  transparent to translucent

 

Crystal Forms:    Orthorhombic system

Mineral Associations:  Commonly found in veins in limestones.
