Color:  colorless, white, bluish, yellowish-red                 Tenacity:  brittle

Cleavage: perfect cubic cleavage
 

Taste:  similar to salt (halite), but more bitter

Crystal Forms: Isometric system
     Sylvite forms cubes, sometimes with octahedral truncations.
