       Often found in rounded masses. 
       Fibrous form is marketed as T.V. ulexite because when polished at both
       ends it performs as fiber optics.

Mineral Associations:  other borates such as colemanite

Identifying Characteristics:  low density and fibrous nature

Occurrences:  Death Valley, California
