     prismatic crystals; rarely withy terminations 

Mineral habits:  massive, columnar, compact

Mineral Associations:  red corundum (rubies) 

Identifying Characteristics:  green color (massive) with rubies

Uses:  rarely as a gemstone, carvings  

Occurrences:   Africa
