Itsclimateishot, though healthy. Candon is surrounded by an extensive and fertile See also:plain, and is defended by a small fort. Its inhabitants are noted for their honesty and See also:industry, as well as for their regard for See also:law and See also:order. They carry on an extensive See also:traffic with the See also:wild tribes of the neighbouring mountains. See also:Indigo is grown in considerable quantity, as are See also:rice and See also:tobacco.
