GAPAN , a See also:

town of the See also:province of Nueva See also:Ecija, Luzon, Philippine Islands, 3 m. E. of See also:San Isidro, the See also:capital. Pop. (1903) 11,278. It is situated in a See also:rich See also:rice-growing region, and extensive forests in its vicinity contain See also:fine hardwoods. Its See also:climate is comparatively cool and healthy. The See also:principal native dialects spoken are Tagalog and Pampangan. Gapan is the See also:oldest town of the province.
