HUASTECS , a tribe of See also:

North See also:American See also:Indians of Mayan stock, living to the north of See also:Vera Cruz. They are of See also:interest to the ethnologist as being so entirely detached from the other Mayan tribes of Central See also:America. The theory is that the Mayas came from the north and that the Huastecs were See also:left behind in the See also:migration southward.
