god of See also:Coptos and Panopolis (See also:Akhmim), seems to have been See also:early looked upon as a deity of the See also:harvest and crops. Hiscult See also:dates from the earliest times. Represented as ithyphallic, with two tall plumes on his See also:head, the right See also:arm upraised and bearing a See also:scourge. In old times he is identified with See also:Horus: later See also:Ammon was confused with him, and depicted in his See also:image.
