NYIREGYHAZA , the See also:

capital of the See also:county of Szabolcs, in See also:Hungary, 169 m. E.N.E. of See also:Budapest by See also:rail. Pop. (woo) 31,875. It is a busy railway junction, and its inhabitants are engaged in See also:agriculture, See also:wine-growing and the manufacture of soda, matches and See also:saltpetre. About 20 m. to the N.W. lies the famous wine-producing See also:district of See also:Tokaj (Tokay).
