PARALUS and SALAMINIA, the name of two See also:

ancient Athenian triremes used for sacred embassies, the See also:conveyance of despatches and See also:tribute See also:money, the transportation of See also:state criminals, and as flagships in See also:time of See also:war. It is probable that a third See also:vessel of the same See also:kind (called See also:Delia) was used exclusively for Delian embassies, although it has been identified by some with the Salaminia.
