PETRUS AUREOLUS (OR10L) , scholastic philosopher and See also:

monk of the Franciscan See also:order, lived in the latter See also:half of the r3th See also:century, and died in See also:Paris in 1321 just after his See also:appointment as See also:archbishop of See also:Aix. He was one of the first to attack the realist doctrines of See also:Duns Scotus, and is interesting mainly as the precursor of See also:William of See also:Occam in his revival of See also:Nominalism. His ability earned for him the titles of See also:Doctor Facundus and Doctor Abundans.
