REGULA , the Latin word for a See also:

rule, hence particularly applied to the rules of a religious See also:order (see See also:MONASTICISM). In See also:architecture the See also:term is applied to a rule or square, the See also:short See also:fillet or rectangular See also:block, under the See also:taenia (q.v.) on the See also:architrave of the Doric See also:entablature.
