SABZAWAR , a See also:

town of See also:Afghanistan, situated at an See also:elevation of 3550 ft. on the See also:left See also:bank of the See also:river Harud, 93 M. S. of See also:Herat. Sabzawar was once a See also:city of considerable See also:size, and still possesses a fortress with sides of about 200 or 250 yds. This fortress has been abandoned, and the town, which is the centre of a See also:group of villages; is now fairly prosperous, with a See also:bazaar of about '800 shops and a busy See also:traffic with See also:Seistan. The plains about Sabzawar are highly cultivated by the Nurzai Duranis, and each See also:village boasts its own little mud fort.
