TANSA , a small See also:

river in Salsett See also:island, in the See also:Thana See also:district of Bombay, which provides the See also:city of Bombay with its See also:water-See also:supply. It is embanked by one of the largest See also:masonry dams in the See also:world, built in 1892. The See also:embankment is nearly 2 M. See also:long, 118 ft. high, and See also:Ito ft. thick at the See also:base.
