defence of the Papal states by See also:Lamoriciere in 1860. After the occupation of See also:Rome by See also:Victor See also:Emmanuel in 1870, the Papal Zouaves served the See also:government of See also:National Defence in See also:France during the Franco-Prussian See also:war, and were disbanded after the entrance of the See also:German troops into See also:Paris.
