YENISEISK , a See also:

town of See also:Asiatic See also:Russia, See also:capital of the See also:government of the same name, on the right See also:bank of the See also:Yenisei, 17o m. N.N.W. of See also:Krasnoyarsk, with which it has See also:regular communication by steamer. Pop. 12,000. It is the centre of a See also:gold-See also:mining region, and has a public library and a natural See also:history and archaeological museum. The town was founded in 1618.
