AQUARII , a name given to the Christians who substituted See also:water for See also:wine in the See also:Eucharist. They were not a See also:sect, for we find the practice widely in See also:vogue at an See also:early See also:time, even among the orthodox. In See also:Greek they were called Hydroparastatae, or those who offer water.
